Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Boxd, an AI-powered gifting concierge that helps you remember important dates, curates gift suggestions, and coordinates purchasing and shipping. By creating an account or using Boxd, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Using Boxd

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create a Boxd account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information about yourself and the recipients you add to your account.

2. The Service

Boxd uses artificial intelligence to suggest gifts, generate card messages, and remind you of upcoming occasions based on the dates and preferences you provide. Gift suggestions and generated content are recommendations only; you remain responsible for reviewing and approving any purchase before it is placed. We continuously improve our recommendations, and suggestions may change over time.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Boxd offers a free Standard plan and a paid Boxd Premium subscription with additional features such as priority AI recommendations, SMS notifications, and handwritten cards. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis until cancelled. Where a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial period ends unless you cancel beforehand. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, effective at the end of the current billing period.

4. Orders, Payment, and Fulfilment

When you approve a gift purchase, Boxd facilitates payment through our third-party payment processor and coordinates fulfilment, shipping, and, where selected, physical handwritten cards, through our fulfilment partners. Delivery timeframes depend on the recipient's location and the shipping method selected, and we will warn you if an occasion is too close for standard shipping to arrive on time. Once an order has been dispatched, it generally cannot be cancelled or refunded, except as required by applicable consumer law.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the information you provide, including contact details, occasion dates, and feedback on gifts. By using Boxd, you grant us a licence to use that information to operate and improve the service, including generating personalised AI recommendations, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Boxd for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to our systems.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell any part of the service without our written permission.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including for payment or shipping.

7. Disclaimers

Boxd is provided "as is" and "as available." While we work hard to keep dates, suggestions, and orders accurate, we do not guarantee that recommendations will always match your preferences, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boxd and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including missed occasions, delayed shipments, or dissatisfaction with a gift, beyond the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or if required to comply with the law. Upon termination, your right to use Boxd will cease, though certain provisions of these Terms will continue to apply.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our service or for legal reasons. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the app. Continuing to use Boxd after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
